This Sunday is our first live streamed game of the year! See our Premier League Men and Women take on Hawthorn Hockey Club.
First up our women take on the star-studded Hawks, containing ex-Hockeyroos Claire Messent, Kary Chau and Emily Hurtz, as well as ex-Jillaroo Hannah Cohen, Vipers Hannah Gravenall and Laura Desmet, as well as state junior hockey player and captain of the Australian women’s cricket team – Meg Lanning! It will be a tough fight for our girls, but promises to be a great game.
Our Premier League men have gone one and one after a close loss to MCC last round after defeating Grand Finallists Camberwell in round 1. Hawthorn are flying with two wins from the first two rounds, including a 4-1 win over Greensborough in round 2. This is another great early season test for our men, who welcome back some key inclusions in Matthew Guest and Steve Campbell, as well as celebrating Kieran Symons’ 50th Premier League game.
