2023 Altona Hockey Club Annual Report

The new AHC Scoreboard is officially open!

As part of the West Gate Tunnel Project 2023 Grant funding round, we were lucky enough to be accepted to receive $48,000. The project, led by Andrew Meiers, was undertaken over the pre-season with the scoreboard ready for the start of the 2024 season.

Yesterday we were joined by Melissa Horne MP, our local sitting Member in the State Government, and the Mayor of Hobons Hobsons Bay City Council, Councillor Matt Tyler for the official opening.
The scoreboard itself was funded by the Westgate Tunnel Project and the project took place with the help of our sponsors

Burlin Electrical and Mechanical Services who took care of all electrical work (Ben Burriss pictured) & Werribee Steel who built and installed the frame (Marco de Muri pictured). Thank you to everyone involved.

It was also a great day on the pitch with the Women’s Premier League running over the top of St. Kilda/Powerhouse to win 5-0, and the Men’s Premier League holding out reigning premiers MCC to win 3-0 and sitting clear on top of the ladder after four rounds. The games continue today with Men’s Metro, Men’s Pennant D and Women’s Pennant C all at home.
